Adecco US, Inc. Spring up assembler in Archdale, North Carolina

Responsible for assembling and fastening coil springs into furniture frames (such as sofas & chairs) to create durable seating or bedding support systems. This role involves working with coil springs, wire frames, tie wires, clips, and hand tools to produce high‑quality spring units used in upholstered furniture.

Spring Assembly

  • Lay crossed wiring or support grid into a jig and secure coil springs to the wiring.

  • Fasten tops of coils together using tie wires or metal clips.

  • Clip edge wire around outside coils using clipping tools to form a structurally sound spring unit.

  • Cut protruding wire ends with pliers to ensure safety and uniformity.

  • Staple springs to wooden frames individually or as complete units, when required.

Frame & Component Preparation

  • Inspect frames and spring materials for defects, damage, or missing components before assembly. (General furniture assembler responsibilities)

  • Ensure all necessary parts, tools, and materials are available at the workstation.

Quality Control & Finishing

  • Ensure spring assemblies meet company standards for firmness, alignment, and structural integrity.

  • Perform minor adjustments or repairs on spring units as needed. (Related to general assembler duties)

Safety & Workspace Maintenance

  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area.

  • Follow all safety protocols when using tools such as pliers, staplers, clipping tools, or crimping tools.

Required Skills & Qualifications

  • Experience with hand tools and power tools (pliers, staplers, cutters, clipping tools).

  • Ability to follow written or blueprint assembly instructions.

  • Strong attention to detail and manual dexterity.

  • Ability to stand for long periods and perform repetitive tasks.

Physical Requirements

  • Ability to lift furniture frames and spring assemblies as needed.

  • Repetitive bending, stretching, and use of hands.

Pay Details: $16.00 to $19.00 per hour
