Job Summary Join our vibrant bakery team as a Part Time Bakery Associate and become a vital part of creating a warm, welcoming environment for our customers! In this energetic role, you'll assist with food preparation, customer service, and maintaining the bakery's cleanliness and organization. Your enthusiasm and dedication will help deliver fresh, delicious baked goods while ensuring every guest has a positive experience. This position offers flexible hours perfect for those passionate about food, retail, and providing exceptional service in a dynamic setting. Pay starts at $11.00 per hour with easy and quick opportunity for advancement based on skill development! Hiring for part time (approx. 3 days/week or 20-25hrs/week.) Must be available afternoons (12PM-4PM) & some Saturdays (6AM-12PM).

Duties

• Prepare baked goods and other food items according to established recipes and quality standards
• Operate cash register and POS systems to make transactions
• Assist customers with selections, answer questions about products, and promote upselling opportunities to enhance sales
• Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of the bakery area, including food handling, bussing, and food safety practices
• Restock shelves, organize displays, and ensure products are visually appealing for customers
• Handle cash transactions with accuracy, including cash handling and basic math calculations
• Support team members in food service tasks like serving, cashiering, and food prep to ensure quick service

Requirements

• Previous experience in food preparation or food service environments preferred; experience in quick service or fast-food restaurants is a plus
• Strong customer service skills with the ability to upsell products confidently
• Knowledge of food safety standards, sanitation procedures, and proper food handling techniques
• Ability to manage time effectively in a fast-paced environment while multitasking across duties
• Basic math skills for cash handling and retail math calculations
• Experience working in a bakery, café, grocery store or retail setting is advantageous
• Excellent communication skills and a positive attitude to create an inviting atmosphere for customers
