Job Title: Press Brake Operator – 2nd Shift
Job Description
This role involves setting up and operating press brake machines in a precision fabrication environment that serves the medical, defense, agriculture, and lawn care industries. You will produce high-quality parts to specification by interpreting blueprints and work orders, selecting appropriate tooling, and performing accurate measurements and inspections while maintaining a safe, clean, and efficient work area.
Responsibilities
Set up and operate press brake machines to produce parts that meet specified dimensions and quality standards.
Read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, work orders, and production schedules to determine job requirements.
Select and install proper tooling, dies, and fixtures for each job based on material and part specifications.
Perform first-piece and in-process inspections using measuring tools such as calipers and gauges to verify accuracy.
Make necessary adjustments to machine settings, back gauges, and tooling to maintain quality and efficiency.
Monitor machine operation and troubleshoot basic issues to minimize downtime and scrap.
Perform routine maintenance and cleaning of press brake equipment to ensure reliable operation.
Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area in accordance with company standards.
Follow all safety procedures, shop rules, and company policies at all times.
Use basic computer skills to review work orders, enter production information, or interact with CNC controls as needed.
Collaborate with team members and supervisors to meet production goals and support continuous improvement efforts.
Essential Skills
Ability to set up and operate press brake machines safely and efficiently.
Proficiency in reading and interpreting blueprints and technical drawings.
Strong mechanical aptitude with the ability to understand machine functions and adjustments.
Attention to detail and commitment to producing accurate, high-quality parts.
Familiarity with measuring tools such as calipers and gauges and basic quality inspection processes.
Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and stand for extended periods during the shift.
Basic computer skills to work with CNC press brake interfaces and production documentation.
1+ years of experience operating press brake machines preferred.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
Experience operating CNC press brake machines preferred.
Experience with Cincinnati press brake equipment preferred.
Background in fabrication or manufacturing environments is a plus.
Troubleshooting skills for press brake operations and quality issues.

Work Environment
This is a 2nd shift position with a schedule of Monday through Thursday, 2:45 p.m. to 12:45 a.m., including three paid 10-minute breaks per shift. The facility is clean, well-organized, and maintains a comfortable temperature to support productivity and safety. Music plays throughout the facility, creating a steady and engaging work atmosphere. The organization operates six plants in total, with two locations in Appleton and just over 60 employees in the local valley area, offering a mid-sized, team-oriented environment. You will work with CNC press brake equipment and standard measuring tools in a fabrication shop setting, following all safety guidelines and shop practices.

Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $25.00 - $29.50/hr.
