Work closely with production Supervisors, line leaders and production crews to answer questions and receive as much information as possible to perform the work successfully. Efficiently perform regular and preventative maintenance related to the plant, equipment, and grounds in compliance with standard operating procedures, good manufacturing practices, and safety policies as enforced by OSHA; keep all related records and logs accurate and up-to-date. Provide emergency/unscheduled repairs of mechanical, electrical, pneumatic and hydraulic equipment during the packaging/production process as needed. Prepare and set up machinery for scheduled production runs. Effectively update and install equipment. Works closely with production to minimize downtime while maintaining quality. Maintain a working knowledge of all plant area processes. Accurately read and interpret equipment manuals and work orders. Train or mentor new Maintenance Technicians as needed.
