JOB REQUIREMENTS: Community Horizons is assisting a delightful woman in the Appleton area in locating a care assistant to help her in her home. This individual is blind, so a special kind of help is needed. If you are someone looking for a position that will offer a challenge and one that will also fill your cup with joy, this is the position for you! The Pay: \$15.50/hour The hours are flexible, 2 -3x per week, between the hours of 9a-5p. Tasks needed: Assistance with large and small organizational projects. Reading mail out loud. Running errands as needed. Light housekeeping. Carpet cleaning. Filing paperwork. Meal prep. Simply being the \"eyes\" Requirements: Valid DL and reliable vehicle. Caring and compassionate. Receives instructions well. Open to instructive criticism. Open to learning a different way of life (sight impaired). Community Horizons provides support to individuals and families enrolled in self-directed care programs across Wisconsin, including services through Managed Care Organizations, IRIS (Include, Respect, I Self-Direct), and the Children\'s Long-Term Support (CLTS) program. Self-direction allows participants to make their own choicesselecting who provides their care and how those services are delivered. While Community Horizons offers guidance and mentorship, we are not the employer of record. Participants and families make all hiring decisions, with a third-party fiscal agent handling payroll and employment paperwork.
