Our client, a leading manufacturing organization specializing in paper conversion, is seeking a Forklift Mechanic to join their dedicated team. As a Forklift Mechanic, you will be an essential part of the maintenance department supporting the operational efficiency of the facility. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong mechanical skills, a proactive approach to troubleshooting, and a commitment to maintaining a safe work environment, which will align successfully in the organization.

Location: Appleton, WI
Pay Range:
Shift: Day Shift (6am - 2pm), Monday through Friday, with flexible options available
What's the Job?
Perform routine maintenance on all powered industrial vehicles (PIVs) including forklifts, roll clamps, pallet jacks, and reach trucks, following manufacturer specifications.
Diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic issues to ensure optimal performance and safety of equipment.
Conduct thorough inspections of PIVs to proactively identify and address potential problems.
Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, repairs, and parts inventory for each piece of equipment.
Collaborate with team members to prioritize repair tasks, minimize downtime, and ensure safety protocols are followed at all times.
What's Needed?
Experience maintaining forklifts, roll clamps, or similar powered industrial vehicles (preferred but entry-level candidates with mechanical aptitude are encouraged to apply).
Strong mechanical aptitude with troubleshooting skills in mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems.
Ability to perform routine maintenance such as oil changes, light replacements, and greasing.
Commitment to safety and adherence to all safety protocols and PPE requirements.
Excellent record-keeping skills and the ability to work effectively within a team environment.
