Job Description:
Schedule: F/S/S 7am-7:30pm
Up to $7,500 sign on bonus and $1,500 Relocation
Educates patients about the exam and complete all exams in a timely manner, maintaining workflow and minimizing empty table time. Operates all imaging equipment safely and properly, including scanners, injectors, and monitors, adapting protocols for patients of all ages. Practicing infection control standards and using approved PPE and disinfectant agents. Performs high-quality CT examinations in accordance with provider orders and departmental protocols, ensuring optimal image quality for accurate diagnosis. Follows department protocols for patient identification, informed consent, and time-out procedures prior to starting exams. Reviews patient history and clinical information to confirm exam appropriateness and identify potential contraindications. Collaborates with radiologists and other healthcare providers to ensure appropriate imaging and continuity of patient care. Positions patients accurately and comfortably, using immobilization devices when necessary, while ensuring radiation safety and ALARA principles are maintained. Supports scheduling of personnel to provide adequate coverage during all
hours of operation, using flexible staffing when appropriate. Oversees quality control testing, equipment maintenance, and troubleshooting. Serves as a resource to department staff and other team members as needed. Performs team member orientation, training, and coaching, and provides input for performance evaluations. Promotes a positive patient experience by ensuring service excellence, effective communication, and the delivery of timely, high-quality care by the team. Leads, organizes, and directs daily CT department workflow of patients, technologists, and students. Maintains accurate and timely documentation within the electronic medical record (EMR) and PACS systems. Other duties as assigned.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

• Computer skills to include programs such as Excel, Microsoft Word, Outlook, and PACS experience specific to AGFA [Required]
• Basic IV competency [Required]
• General physics and anatomy [Required]
• Ability to analyze and assess data, techniques, methodology, equipment operation, and quality control to ensure that information is obtained and presented accurately [Required]
• Up-to-date knowledge of patient positioning and equipment operations, including x-ray machines and printers [Required]
• Ability to communicate appropriately and effectively with patients and their family, hospital staff, nurses, physicians, and other health care professionals [Required]
• Knowledge of commonly used concepts, practices, and procedures in the health care industry [Required]
• Must be able to read, write and speak conversational English [Required]
• Basic working knowledge of PC necessary, including data entry and retrieval [Required]
• Knowledge of the use of computerized and radiographic equipment to perform diagnostic procedures in a manner consistent with minimal radiation exposure and maximum image quality [Required]
• Ability to provide care addressing the physical, psychosocial, educational, safety, and age-appropriate needs of the patient population served within the department [Required]
• Must have knowledge of all areas of department functions as needed for supervision and direction of staff [Required]
• Good communication skills, including internal communication with department management team [Required]
• Ability to exercise independent judgment in assessment of radiographic quality, patient condition, and workflow management [Required]
• Professional conduct and ability to handle problems with patients and physicians as they arise [Required]
• Familiar with Cerner HIS and PACS system. PC knowledge using Outlook, PowerPoint, Word, and Excel [Preferred]
