The team you will be a part of

Whirlpool Corporation is looking for a talented Associate UX Designer to join our Global User Experience Design organization. At Whirlpool we believe in having people as our central focus, both our users and our employees. As a team member you will be crafting experiences that will make the lives of millions of consumers around the globe a whole lot easier and delightful right in their homes! You will have the freedom to explore sound, light, graphics, written and spoken language, motion, sensors and remote capabilities to craft a symphony for a solution.

This role in summary

As an Associate UX Designer , you'll play a key role in shaping the user experience for our products. You'll be responsible for conducting research, designing data-driven experiences, and collaborating cross-functionally across projects.

Your responsibilities will include

  • Create compelling digital experiences : Participate in the design and development of intuitive and user-friendly interfaces for Whirlpool's connected home appliances and services.

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams : Work closely with visual designers, motion designers, engineers, product managers, and other stakeholders to understand user needs and co-create innovative solutions.

  • Communicate design effectively : Clearly communicate design decisions and rationale through wireframes, flow diagrams, storyboards, mockups, and high-fidelity prototypes.

  • Champion user-centered design : Advocate for the needs of users throughout the design process and ensure their perspectives are considered in all decisions.

  • Conduct user research : Assist in the planning and execution of user research activities, such as user interviews, usability testing, and surveys.

  • Contribute to design systems : Help build and maintain consistent and scalable design systems across Whirlpool's various brands.

Explore the future of IoT : Stay abreast of emerging technologies and trends in the IoT space, such as voice UIs, AI, and the Internet of Things.

Minimum requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED

  • 6 months of UX work experience

Preferred skills and experiences

  • Basic knowledge of UX/UI fundamentals , usability , and accessibility principles .

  • Familiarity with Figma and an understanding of design systems .

  • Strong written, verbal, and visual communication skills .

  • Ability to problem-solve and think critically while supporting design projects.
