The team you will be a part of
The Engineering team discovers, develops and evaluates new product ideas, enhancements, or strategic product extensions, and translates research discoveries into usable and marketable products. Leads, plans and tracks all phases of the product life cycle, from inception to introduction into the marketplace. Coordinates with various functions to ensure successful product development and implementation.
This role in summary
LAR Performance Subsystem Analyst is mainly responsible for the development of materials, components and subsystems of a Cooktop/Range surface (metaltop/glasstop, burners, grates, gas tubes, etc).
This position is located in Celaya (Mexico), however in this role the candidate will work on product development for all LAR regions.
Your responsibilities will include
Supporting and working for projects through all project phases
Solving problems and finding reliable technical solutions for the application
Creating ideas for new designs, cost reduction and quality improvement projects
Develop and capture knowledge required to deliver subsystem level excellence through Design Guides, FMEA, DVP&R, A3’s, Tolerance Stack Ups, and other documents.
Cooperating with other functions (marketing, design, industrial engineering)
Supporting Product Specification based on released documentation and validated tests
Support benchmarking activities, experimentation, data analysis via statistical tools (6 sigma, Opex)
Coordinate prototype build plans to evaluate design concepts through physical lab testing
Minimum requirements
Bachelor degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Chemical Engineering or Materials Engineering
Experience in the same or very similar role
Advanced English
Experience in component/product development lifecycle management
Drawing experience and GD&T (Geometry Dimensioning & Tolerancing) application (tolerance definition and analysis),
Experience in component/product development with 3D CAD modeling (Creo 4.0 is preferred), Windchill experience is a plus
Knowledge of DFMEA, Requirements management, 6 SIGMA tools
Experience with productive process is important
Knowledge in tooling construction is a plus
Experience with gas system/product development is an advantage
Knowledge in simulation analysis (Finite Element Analysis) is an advantage
Master degree in Mechanical, Industrial, Chemical, Materials or Production Engineering or related field is desired
