Apex Plumbing and Heating, Inc. Plumber - Wake County in Apex, North Carolina
Position Overview The Plumber is responsible for installing, repairing, and maintaining plumbing systems on commercial construction projects. This role requires strong technical skills, the ability to interpret construction documents, and a solid understanding of plumbing codes and industry standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Read and interpret contract drawings, blueprints, and project plans to perform accurate installations.
- Ensure all work complies with local, state, and national plumbing codes and project specifications.
- Install sanitary waste and vent systems using cast iron and PVC pipe and fittings commonly used in commercial applications.
- Install domestic water systems using copper pipe and fittings, including large-diameter piping and multifloor distribution.
- Install and test natural gas piping systems and associated fittings.
- Install commercial plumbing fixtures and related accessories, including trim, carriers, and specialty fixtures.
- Install plumbing equipment such as water heaters, expansion tanks, grease interceptors, backflow devices, and other mechanical components.
- Work collaboratively with supervisors, other trades, and project teams to maintain schedules and resolve field issues.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment in accordance with company and OSHA standards.
Qualifications
- Experience in commercial plumbing installation or related construction environments.
- Ability to read and understand construction drawings and technical documents.
- Strong knowledge of plumbing codes, installation practices, and safety requirements.
- Proficiency with tools, materials, and equipment used in commercial plumbing.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively as part of a team.
- Reliable transportation and a commitment to jobsite safety.
