Construction Laborers / Cleaning Technicians Needed Immediately!

Pay: $20 p/hr

Location: Apex, NC

Job Description

Join a long-term construction project in Apex, NC, where you will play a vital role in a large construction project. This project is set to last over two years and offers an opportunity to work with one of the top construction companies in the area.

Responsibilities

  • Perform tasks involving physical labor at construction project jobsites.

  • Review jobsite needs with team members to fully comprehend scopes of work per plans and specifications.

  • Assist with jobsite clean-up, rough carpentry, site logistics, fencing, deck and platform building, and protection systems.

  • Manage construction waste areas and perform additional job assignments as directed.

  • Inventory supplies and communicate supply orders for re-stocking.

  • Ensure compliance with standards, safety codes, and regulations.

  • Understand work instructions, project signage, and safety instructions from tool and equipment manufacturers.

  • Participate in daily Pre-Task Plans, follow safety expectations, and wear appropriate PPE.

  • Perform selected demolition and participate in activities of subcontractors and suppliers.

  • Review project perimeter for security and cleanliness daily and participate in end-of-day clean-up activities.

  • Perform fire watch duties and construct scaffolding as needed.

  • Manage dumpster vendor schedule and maintain dumpster areas for cleanliness and organization.

  • Act as a spotter for heavy equipment operators and ensure security of equipment and work area.

  • Identify and escalate problems and issues to a supervisor for immediate resolution.

  • Track production of completed tasks and assist other craft workers as directed.

  • Maintain positive working relationships with customers, contractors, suppliers, and other employees.

This is a Contract position based out of Apex, NC.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $23.00/hr.
