Chemours is seeking a Trade Compliance Manager to join our growing team. This position will be available at our Antwerpen Site in Beveren, Belgium .

The responsibilities of the position include, but are not limited to, the following:

Regional Trade Compliance Leadership

  • Own and lead EMEA customs and trade compliance strategy, aligned with global trade governance and enterprise risk priorities.

  • Serve as the primary trade compliance authority for EMEA, advising business, supply chain, procurement, tax, and legal teams.

  • Lead, coach, and develop the EMEA trade compliance team; ensure depth, continuity, and documented processes.

Inward Processing & Special Procedures (Core Focus)

  • Design, implement, and oversee Inward Processing (IPR) frameworks across EU and UK operations, including:

  • Authorization management

  • Bill of materials control

  • Discharge tracking and reconciliation

  • Audit readiness and customs authority engagement

  • Optimize use of special customs procedures (IPR, OPR, customs warehousing, temporary admission) to reduce or defer duty while maintaining strict compliance.

  • Partner with Supply Chain and Manufacturing to embed IPR into trade flow design, not just execution.

Quota & Trade Measure Management

  • Manage tariff quota (TRQ) exposure and strategy, including:

  • Monitoring quota availability and utilization

  • Advising business on sourcing and timing decisions

  • Supporting advocacy or engagement where quota constraints distort supply

  • Monitor and assess impact of trade defense measures (ADD/CVD, safeguards, circumvention rules) on EMEA imports and exports.

Customs Fundamentals & Controls

  • Ensure robust and consistent execution of:

  • Classification, valuation, and origin determinations

  • Preferential origin and supplier declaration programs

  • Transfer pricing / customs alignment with Tax

  • Own AEO and trusted trader programs, including renewals, audits, and corrective actions.

  • Lead responses to customs audits, inquiries, and enforcement actions.

Business Enablement & Value Creation

  • Embed trade compliance early in procurement, sourcing, and commercial decisions to influence landed cost and risk.

  • Support FTA utilization and preferential trade opportunities where applicable.

  • Translate regulatory complexity into clear, actionable guidance for non‑trade stakeholders.

Governance, Policy & Continuous Improvement

  • Implement global trade policies and develop EMEA‑specific procedures and work instructions.

  • Drive process standardization, documentation, and system improvements.

  • Contribute to global trade projects, advocacy initiatives, and regulatory change management.

The following is required for this role:

  • Bachelors’ degree or 8 years of relevant work experience in lieu of bachelors’ degree

  • 4-6 years of experience in project management, change management and or strategic program management with clear examples of demonstrated success

  • 4-6 years of experience working on ethics and compliance programs and/or with one or more of the following compliance risk areas: antitrust, anti-corruption, privacy, international tradeStrong written and oral communication skills

  • Attention to detail. Strong organization and project management skills; consensus building skills, proven results orientation; motivational skills; team building and team management skillsAbility to act as an effective change agent

  • Proven track record of making an impact, developing and executing on strategies and delivering excellent results

  • High standard of personal and business ethical integrity

  • Experience developing presentation and training materials using PowerPoint and consolidating data into dashboards

  • Professional English

The following is preferred for this role:

  • Experience maintaining SharePoint and Teams sites

  • Project management training/certification such as PMP and/or quality process certifications such as Six Sigma

  • Experience in Chemicals, Manufacturing or related industry

  • Dutch is preferred

Pay Range (in local currency):

€90,160.00 - €140,875.00

Annual Bonus Target:

11%
