Position Overview:

The CT Technologist coordinates and produces quality computerized tomography (CT) studies and assists in CT guided procedures. The technologist must demonstrate and exercise critical thinking skills, knowledge of cross-sectional anatomy/physiology, radiation safety, venipuncture, and safe medication administration, specific to contrast media and adjunct medications. The technologist is responsible for the safe operation of sophisticated imaging and ancillary equipment to produce quality CT procedures.
The CT Technologist ensures accurate documentation and image transmission and storage, professional and effective communication, and demonstrates knowledge of age-appropriate criteria when working with all patients, which include high risk and critically ill patients. Responsible for accurate charge capture and documentation.
Full-Time Position: 32 hours per week, 4 days per week
Flexible Shift Requirements: Must be able to work varying shifts, including day, evening, and night
Diverse Patient Population: Provides care to neonatal, pediatric, adolescent, adult, and geriatric patients

EDUCATION:
- Other: Graduation from an JRCERT accredited Radiologic Technologist Program provided prior to start date
CERTIFICATION & LICENSURE:
CRT-Certified Radiologic Technologist (from state where work is being performed) provided prior to start date
BLS-Basic Life Support Healthcare Provider
RHF-Radiology Fluoroscopy within 180 Days of hire if required at the affiliate.
SKILLS AND KNOWLEDGE:
General knowledge of diagnostic computerized tomography principles, procedures, views, and equipment, including some experience responding to traumas and various hospital emergencies.
Capable of performing routine CT examinations as well as a basic understanding of human anatomy, physiology, pathology, and medical terminology.
Possess written and verbal communications skills to explain sensitive information clearly and professionally to diverse audiences, including non-medical people.
Well-developed time management and organizational skills, including the ability to prioritize assignments and work within standardized operating procedures and scientific methods to achieve objectives and meet deadline.
General knowledge of computer applications, such as Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel and Outlook) and related information systems (Radiology (RIS), laboratory (LIS), electronic health records (EHR), EPIC, and picture archive and communication system (PACS).
Prioritize assignments and work within standardized policies, procedures, and scientific methods to achieve objectives and meet deadlines.
Work independently, as well as be part of the team, including accomplishing multiple tasks in an environment with interruptions.
Identify, evaluate and resolve standard problems by selecting appropriate solutions from established options.
Ensure the privacy of each patient’s protected health information (PHI).
Build collaborates relationships with peers and other healthcare providers to achieve departmental and corporate objectives.
