BAE Systems Senior QMS Internal Auditor in Anniston, Alabama

The BAE Systems site in Anniston, Alabama is seeking a Senior QMS Internal Auditor. In this role as a Senior QMS Internal Auditor, you will play a critical role in ensuring the effectiveness of our quality management system within Combat Mission Systems (CMS), specifically at our Anniston, Alabama and Phoenix, Arizona locations. You will lead and execute internal audits to ensure compliance with both ISO 9001 and AS9100 standards. You'll work closely with the internal auditing team to plan and execute internal audits, analyzing data to identify trends, areas for improvement, and potential risks in the quality management system. Responsibilities

  • Audit Planning and Execution: Plan and execute internal audits to ensure compliance with both ISO 9001 and AS9100 standards.

  • Audit Results Communication: Ensure planning and communication of audit results to relevant stakeholders.

  • Data Analysis: Analyze data to identify trends and areas for improvement in our quality management system, driving continuous improvement initiatives.

  • Root Cause Analysis: Support root cause analysis of quality-related issues, collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure timely response and closure.

  • Corrective Action Plans: Verify the results of completed Corrective Action Plans independently and make recommendations for final closure.

  • QMS Performance Metrics: Maintain reports and dashboards to track QMS performance metrics, providing data-driven insights to support decision-making.

  • Support and Collaboration: Provide support to functional counterparts to resolve issues and identify opportunities for improvement to the QMS.

  • Project Leadership: Lead and participate in key business projects that drive performance to meet strategic objectives.

  • QMS Certification: Assist in the development and maintenance of AS9100 and ISO 9001 QMS certification.

Required Education, Experience, & Skills

  • Typically requires a Bachelor's degree and four (4) years of related Quality Assurance / Auditing experience, or the overall equivalent.

  • Problem solving - Root cause / corrective actions (RCCA).

  • Auditing experience.

  • Experience working with, and auditing, against AS9100 standard.

  • Effective communication skills, written and verbal.

  • Experienced in technical report writing.

  • Ability to negotiate, collaborate, coach, guide, and offer training.

  • Computer skills to include MS Office Suite.

  • Experience working within a manufacturing environment.

  • Able to perform role with limited supervision; work independently.

  • Experience with multi-site programs.

  • Able to travel of up to 25% to provide in-person support at Phoenix, Arizona site.

Preferred Education, Experience, & Skills

  • AS9100 Certified Internal Auditor

  • American Society for Quality (ASQ) Certifications

  • Working under Government contracts

  • Lean Six Sigma Green or Black Belt

  • Proficient in Visio

  • Familiar with TIPQA Quality Software

  • Experience in use of data analytics to identify trends and drive improvement to business processes

Pay Information

Full-Time Salary Range: $79370 - $134929

Please note: This range is based on our market pay structures. However, individual salaries are determined by a variety of factors including, but not limited to: business considerations, local market conditions, and internal equity, as well as candidate qualifications, such as skills, education, and experience.
