Schedule: Monday–Friday | 3rd Shift (11:00 PM – 7:30 AM)

Pay Rate: $34.66 per hour

Job Type: Full-Time | 12-Month Consultant Assignment

PDS Tech Commercial is partnering with a leader in the aviation industry to hire a skilled and driven Tech Support Specialist to join a Tier 2 Network Operations Center (NOC). In this high-impact role, you’ll monitor, troubleshoot, and resolve network and system issues that support global aviation communications.

What You’ll Do

As a Tech Support Specialist, you’ll be at the heart of network operations, ensuring reliability across critical systems. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Monitoring network management systems and coordinating with telecom providers to restore services quickly

  • Managing and updating incident records with accuracy and timeliness

  • Troubleshooting system and network issues across IP networks, messaging systems, and air-to-ground communications

  • Resolving routine technical issues independently and escalating complex problems as needed

  • Collaborating with senior team members to address moderate to high-impact incidents

  • Monitoring and maintaining performance of routers, switches, firewalls, and communication systems

  • Supporting deployment, configuration, and maintenance processes while identifying opportunities for efficiency improvements

  • Participating in network solution design and configuration efforts

  • Providing clear, detailed guidance to customers to resolve technical issues

  • Training across three NOC functions: Transport, DataLink, and Applications

  • Managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced, 24/7 operational environment (including some weekends and holidays)

What You Bring

Required Qualifications:

  • Network+ Certification

  • Strong understanding of TCP/IP networking, hardware/software integration, and IT infrastructure

  • Knowledge of ITIL/ITSM concepts and best practices

  • Experience troubleshooting Cisco devices and working with HSRP/BGP routing protocols

  • Associate degree (or equivalent 2-year technical training) with 1–2 years of experience OR high school diploma/GED with 2+ years of relevant experience

  • Excellent multitasking, prioritization, and problem-solving skills

  • Strong attention to detail and customer service mindset

  • This position requires use of information or access to facilities subject to the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) and/or Export Administration Regulations (EAR). These regulations may limit access of controlled technologies: 1) to U.S. Persons, including U.S. Citizens, lawful permanent residents, and other narrow categories including refugees and asylees, or 2) to certain foreign nationals that have received an export license.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • CCNA Certification

  • Experience with tools such as Remedy, Netcool, Office 365, or ServiceNow

  • Familiarity with network monitoring and incident management systems

Pay Details: $34.66 per hour
