The Medical Assistant may also act as a phlebotomist when train | | ed appropriately. Responsible for managing medical supply inventory. | +-----------------------------------------------------------------------+ | * * | | | | ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES | | | | · Medication Passing | | | | · Staff Training | | | | · Manage Resident medical appointments | | | | · Schedule/Attend external appointments | | | | · Ensure Vitals are documented/available to Treatment Team | | | | · Documentation management | | | | · E.H.R. Fax Queue Management | | | | · Weekly Cart Count | | | | · Coordinate with the pharmacy during med cart change over to | | ensure med reconciliation | | | | · Manage bio-hazard collection and removal services | | | | · Inventory and managing all medical supplies | | | | · Lab draw, as directed | | | | · Administer injections, as directed | | | | · Complete/manage TB tests, as directed | | | | | | | | EDUCATION | | | | · High School Diploma | | | | · Driver's license | | | | · Certification as a Medical assistant, preferred | | | | | | | | PREFERRED SKILLS | | | | · Phlebotomy | | | | | | | | QUALIFICATIONS | | | | · Possesses the ability to work in a constantly changing | | environment, good judgment skills, and capable of making decisions | | with attention to detail. | | | | · Must have excellent organizational skills and ability to | | prioritize and coordinate workload with a high degree of proficiency | | and accuracy. | | | | · Must have excellent analytical and problem-solving skills. | | | | · Ability to work easily and cooperatively with other | | departments. | | | | · Ability to work independently and follow through on tasks | | without direct supervision. | | | | · Ability to work well under pressure in a flexible, | | diplomatic, and expeditious manner. | | | | · Maintains strict confidentiality of patients' medical records | | and adherence to all HIPAA policies and regulations. | | | | · Good overall knowledge of Eisenhower Center departments and | | their respective scopes | | | | | | | +-----------------------------------------------------------------------+
