Job Title: Electric Assembler

Job Description

We are seeking dedicated Production Assembly Technicians to join our team. You will work on the forefront of technology, assembling fuel cells for the railroad industry and drones for aviation. This is an opportunity to be part of a dynamic and innovative field.

Responsibilities

  • Batch and mix materials, including the use of scales.

  • Perform machine operations utilizing hand tools.

  • Operate mechanical equipment efficiently.

  • Conduct assembly operations following specific protocols.

  • Adhere strictly to all safety protocols and use personal protective equipment (PPE).

  • Accurately record data as specified.

  • Maintain work area according to 5S standards.

  • Meet quality, part, and production specifications consistently.

  • Be trained on and perform up to three Standard Processes routinely.

  • Act as a positive, respectful team member and communicate effectively.

  • Report any issues or concerns to maintain smooth operations.

  • Exercise independent judgment within primary job functions.

  • Maintain punctuality and regular attendance.

Essential Skills

  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in small part assembly.

  • Proficiency in using small hand tools such as calipers, micrometers, screw drills, hand drills, snips, and dryers.

  • At least 6 months of machine operation experience or willingness to learn.

  • Ability to see color for correct wiring.

  • Good dexterity for handling small parts.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

  • Basic computer literacy including navigating spreadsheets, watching training videos, and working in test stations.

Work Environment

The position operates on the 2nd shift from 2 PM to 12:30 AM with voluntary overtime available post-training. The work environment is structured around safety and efficiency, requiring adherence to all safety protocols and 5S standards.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Ann Arbor, MI.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $19.00 - $21.00/hr.
