Robert Half Sr. Revenue Accountant in Andover, Massachusetts
Description We are looking for an experienced Sr. Revenue Accountant to support international billing compliance and revenue-related accounting activities in Andover, Massachusetts. This Long-term Contract position is ideal for someone who can interpret revenue guidance, review billing practices, and contribute to accurate financial reporting. The role will work closely with cross-functional teams to evaluate revenue transactions, strengthen compliance, and support month-end close activities.
Responsibilities:
• Review overseas billing activity to ensure alignment with applicable compliance standards and internal revenue policies.
• Assess customer contracts and transactional data to determine proper revenue treatment under ASC 606.
• Analyze revenue trends, variances, and account activity to improve accuracy in reporting and forecasting.
• Prepare and support month-end close tasks related to revenue, including reconciliations, journal entries, and reporting schedules.
• Partner with finance, billing, and operational stakeholders to resolve invoicing issues and clarify revenue-related questions.
• Monitor revenue processes and recommend improvements that enhance control, consistency, and audit readiness.
• Maintain documentation for accounting conclusions, billing reviews, and compliance support tied to revenue transactions. Requirements • Strong experience in revenue accounting within a corporate accounting or finance environment.
• Working knowledge of ASC 606 and its application to contract review and revenue recognition decisions.
• Background in billing analysis, revenue compliance, and financial data review.
• Ability to investigate revenue activity, identify discrepancies, and recommend appropriate corrective action.
• Experience supporting month-end close and preparing related account reconciliations or journal entries.
• Advanced attention to detail with the ability to manage sensitive financial information accurately.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively across departments.
