Scope of Position
Reporting to the Global ERP Director, the SAP Material Master Data Entry Specialist is responsible for the accurate creation, maintenance, and validation of material master records within SAP. This role plays a critical part in ensuring data accuracy, consistency, and compliance with master data governance standards to support procurement, manufacturing, planning, finance, and sales processes.
The ideal candidate has hands-on experience with SAP Material Master data, strong Excel skills, and a proven background in high-volume, detail-oriented data entry.
This position is remote with 50% travel to our Andover, MA location.
Primary Job Duties and Responsibilities
Create, update, and maintain Material Master records in SAP in accordance with defined data standards and governance processes
Work with teams to validate data across relevant SAP views (e.g., Basic Data, Purchasing , MRP, Accounting, Sales, and Plant-specific views as applicable)
Perform high-volume data entry with a strong focus on accuracy, completeness, and consistency
Review source data for completeness and correctness prior to SAP entry; identify and resolve discrepancies
Use Excel to review, validate , cleanse, and track master data (e.g., VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP, filters, pivots)
Support data loads, conversions, or mass updates during ERP implementations or ongoing operations
Follow established approval workflows, templates, and documentation standards
Collaborate with Master Data, Business, and IT teams to resolve data issues and clarify requirements
Adhere to internal controls, audit requirements, and data governance policies
Required Qualifications
3+ years of hands-on SAP Material Master data experience
Prior data entry experience in an ERP or enterprise system environment
Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel
Exceptional attention to detail and ability to maintain data accuracy in repetitive tasks
Demonstrated ability to follow standardized processes and work instructions
Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple data requests
Ability to work independently and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
Travel: 50%

Working Conditions:
While performing the job duties, you will be working remotely in an office environment. You will be required to travel to and work in the office at the Andover, MA location 50% of the time for meetings, trainings, or as otherwise required by Company management.
Physical Requirements : Specific physical abilities required for this position include, but are not limited to:
Ability to remain seated at a desk or workstation for extended periods.
Ability to perform repetitive tasks like typing on a keyboard or using a mouse for extended periods.
Ability to physically move around the office, organize or transport files, packages, or other office-related materials.
Ability to read documents, use a computer, and perform data entry tasks.
Ability to communicate clearly with management and coworkers, particularly in meetings or phone calls.
Ability to operate standard office equipment such as computers, printers, phones, and copiers.
Ability to occasionally lift and carry light objects, such as office supplies, documents, or small equipment.
Pay Range :
The expected salary range for this position is $22.65-$25.65 hourly. Actual compensation will be dependent upon individual skills, experience, qualifications, and applicable law.
