Job Description
We’re seeking a detail-oriented and motivated individual to support microbiological validation testing and lab operations in a GMP-regulated environment. This role involves performing endotoxin and bioburden testing, preparing microbial cultures, conducting growth promotion, and supporting general lab maintenance. The ideal candidate has hands-on microbiology experience, strong documentation skills, and thrives in a fast-paced, team-oriented setting.
Duties Include:
Endotoxin and bioburden testing
General lab duties (cleaning, inventory, stocking, cold room, 5S, etc.)
Challenge recovery of in-process, cell culture, purification, drug substance and raw material samples
Preparation of microbial cultures used in for validation protocols, developmental studies, and growth promotion
Growth promotion testing
Mold spore suspensions
Plate reading
Data verification and review
Technical Writing
Participation in continuous improvement initiatives
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in a science-related field
1–2 years of relevant experience, preferably in a cGMP Quality Control Microbiology laboratory
Hands-on experience with standard microbiological methods and aseptic techniques, including:
Bioburden testing (membrane filtration)
Endotoxin testing (LAL)
Familiarity with cGMP guidelines
Prior experience working in a laboratory environment
Experience using LIMS and electronic laboratory notebooks
Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel
Excellent problem-solving skills
Solid written and verbal communication skills
Strong understanding of experimental design and scientific methodology, with the ability to interpret data and draw conclusions
Authorized to work in the United States without restriction or the need for sponsorship
