Robert Half Procurement Consultant in Andover, Massachusetts
Description We are looking for an experienced Procurement Consultant to join our team in Andover, Massachusetts. In this long-term contract position, you will play a pivotal role in managing and optimizing procurement activities for various indirect spending categories. This role offers an opportunity to collaborate with stakeholders, drive cost efficiencies, and ensure compliance with company policies.
Responsibilities:
• Oversee the implementation of new processes and systems for indirect procurement to enhance efficiency and compliance.
• Manage procurement efforts across indirect spending categories, including IT, marketing, facilities, office supplies, and specialized services.
• Collaborate with internal teams to identify procurement needs and deliver timely, cost-effective sourcing solutions.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with suppliers, ensuring effective two-way communication and partnership.
• Lead or support sourcing initiatives such as RFPs, RFQs, and supplier evaluations to select the best vendors.
• Administer supplier contracts, renewals, and compliance with organizational standards and policies.
• Analyze procurement data to uncover opportunities for cost savings and process improvements.
• Monitor supplier performance to address any service or delivery issues and ensure accurate invoicing for accounts payable.
• Act as a liaison between departments, suppliers, freight carriers, and shipping teams to streamline procurement and logistics operations.
• Ensure all procurement activities are conducted in alignment with corporate governance, legal requirements, and ethical standards. Requirements • Proven experience in corporate procurement with a focus on indirect purchasing.
• Strong knowledge of procurement processes, including purchase orders and compliance.
• Expertise in contract negotiation and supplier management.
• Familiarity with sourcing activities such as RFPs and RFQs.
• Ability to analyze spending data and identify cost-saving opportunities.
• Excellent communication and relationship-building skills to work with internal stakeholders and suppliers.
• Understanding of corporate governance and ethical standards in procurement.
• Strong organizational skills to manage multiple procurement activities effectively.
