Summary:

Responsible for MRI and control of the work standards in the MRI area. Responsible for personnel in the MRI area and all MRI procedures.

Responsibilities:

• Monitors work performance in designated areas

• Manages patient flow

• Monitors imaging process \ supply inventory

• Requests accessories and other large items through the department manager/director

• Schedules all personnel in responsible areas

• Troubleshoots equipment for responsible areas

• Maintains organization and cleanliness of all assigned areas

• Demonstrates new equipment

• Maintains and updates procedure manual

• Performs MRI procedures on patients of every age

• Uses proper judgment in the utilization of staff

• Interviews candidates/Orients new employees/Performs 30-day/annual evaluations

• Monitors productivity/universal precautions

• Promotes educational programs

• Schedules and monitors personnel for annual safety update

• Investigates problem situations, completing incident reports and counsel forms

• Monitors and controls payroll system, reviewing responsibility report each accounting period

• Attends supervisors meetings as scheduled

• Assists with budget preparation as needed

• Monitors time/attendance of personnel

Qualifications: Current ARRT certification and/or MRI with registry eligibility. Ability to supervise and evaluate. Ability to operate MRI equipment and produce quality images. Ability to follow oral and written instructions. Ability to communicate with patients, visitors, and employees within the organization.Three to five years experience in MRI
