Jacobs Senior Water Project Manager in Anchorage, Alaska
As a Senior Water Project Manager, you’ll play a pivotal role in strengthening Alaska’s water and wastewater systems, leading complex and meaningful projects that directly support the health, resilience, and sustainability of communities across the state.

As a key leader in our Alaska water business, you will:
• Deliver impactful water projects across Alaska, including conveyance, storage, water treatment, wastewater treatment, and planning initiatives that support community resilience.
• Lead and coordinate multidisciplinary project teams, ensuring high-quality technical delivery and seamless collaboration across engineering disciplines.
• Manage projects from concept through commissioning, driving schedule, budget, scope, and profitability while maintaining Jacobs’ rigorous quality and safety standards.
• Strengthen client relationships by engaging on technical topics, project strategy, and long-term planning to support continued market success.
• Support business development efforts, including strategy development, positioning, proposal preparation, and contract negotiations.
• Champion a culture of caring, safety, inclusion, and quality, ensuring our teams feel supported and empowered to do their best work.
• Mentor and develop emerging talent, helping shape the next generation of water professionals at Jacobs.

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in Engineering (Civil, Environmental, or Mechanical preferred)
• Minimum 15 years of industry experience with direct project management responsibilities
• Professional Engineer (P.E.) license or ability to obtain within 1 year
• Proven experience managing and designing small to large water planning and infrastructure projects
• Demonstrated ability to build, support, and inspire high-performing teams
• Strong planning and organizational skills
Ideally, here’s what you’ll also have:
• Project Management Professional (PMP) certification or equivalent project management experience
• A strong network with Alaska municipalities, utilities, or other water/wastewater clients
