Open to the general public and any current Municipal employee. This position is represented by the Anchorage Municipal Employee Association(AMEA) and is subject to the provisions of the current agreement between the Municipality of Anchorage and the AMEA. DEPARTMENT:Traffic Engineering HOURS OF WORK:Monday through Friday; 7:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. LOCATION:4700 Elmore Road *This is a Temporary*Full-Time position that may not exceed six (6) months from the date of hire.** Employees who are hired or rehired to any position shall be placed at the entrance pay step, and advancement from the entrance step to the maximum step within a pay grade shall be by successive steps. Remote work schedule opportunities (telecommuting) may be considered after successful completion of probation, at the discretion of management and with the approval of the department head. Not all positions are eligible for remote work (telecommuting) per PandP 40-40. To be considered for employment, applicants must be legally authorized to work and accept employment in the United States. The Municipality of Anchorage is not able to provide any type of sponsorship, including Student Visas and Employment Visas, under any circumstances.

: High school diploma, GED, or equivalent andeighteen (18)months experience in one or more of the following fields: drafting, surveying, inspection, materials testing, plan review, permitting, computerized mapping, computer assisted design (CAD), traffic signal control, code enforcement, customer service representative, and/or a related field.

OR High school diploma, GED, or equivalent, andsuccessful completion of at least three (3)courses in any combination of geometry, drafting, surveying (Geomatics) or Right of Way (ROW). Must possess and/or obtain: - Must possess a valid State of Alaska Driver's License with satisfactory driving record at time of hire. - Satisfactory Criminal Justice Information System (CJIS) background check within 6 months of hire.
