This is a non-represented position (no union affiliation) and is subject to the provisions of the Personnel Rules of the Municipality of Anchorage. DEPARTMENT: Anchorage Police Department HOURS OF WORK: 4-11's unpaid lunch SSM or FSS off LOCATION: 716 W 4th Avenue / 4501 Elmore Road Employees who are hired or rehired to any position shall be placed at the entrance pay step, and advancement from the entrance step to the maximum step within a pay grade shall be by successive steps. To be considered for employment, applicants must be legally authorized to work and accept employment in the United States. The Municipality of Anchorage is not able to provide any type of sponsorship, including Student Visas and Employment Visas, under any circumstances. The actual salary for this position may be eligible for a ten percent (10%) incentive due to a Supervisory Compensation Adjustment. This is to ensure that supervisors are fairly compensated in comparison to those persons they supervise. The Adjustment may be discontinued at any time, if the Mayor determines the adjustment is no longer warranted.

: High school diploma, GED, or equivalent,

andeight (8)years of experience in the field related to the position. OR Associates degree in Accounting, Business Administration, Public Administration, Human Resources, Purchasing, Computer Information Systems, Finance, or similar discipline, andsix (6)years of experience in the field related to the position. OR Bachelors degree in Accounting, Business Administration, Public Administration, Human Resources, Purchasing, Computer Information Systems, Finance, or similar discipline, andfour (4)years of experience in the field related to the position. OR Masters degree in Accounting, Business Administration, Public Administration, Human Resources, Purchasing, Computer Information Systems, Finance, or similar discipline, andtwo (2)years of experience in the field related to the position. Must possess and/or obtain: Satisfactory background check which includes criminal, education, and employment history at time of hire. Valid State of Alaska Drivers License and satisfactory Driving Record at time of hire. Satisfactory Criminal Justice Information System (CJIS) background check by time of hire. Preference: Alaska Public Safety Information Network (APSIN) / National Crime Information Center (NCIC) certification. Class A/B Underground Storage Tank (UST) operator certification for underground fuel tanks on site.
