We are searching for the best talent for Engineering Technician I.
Purpose: Assists the Base Business Manufacturing Engineers in the identification of faults in the equipment and processes and subsequent corrections. Supports technical and operational training of new, modified, retrofitted, refurbished, or repaired manufacturing equipment.
You will be responsible for :
Responsible for executing preventive maintenance (PM) associated with manufacturing equipment within the established times.
Assist with routine maintenance on cleanroom and manufacturing equipment
Perform basic troubleshooting of mechanical, pneumatic, and low-voltage electrical issues.
Support the maintenance of cleanroom Manufacturing and packaging machinery.
Replace basic Manufacturing parts (e.g., filters, sensors, belts, motors)
Document work activities per eCMMS and procedures.
Maintain a clean and contamination-controlled work environment.
Supports decommissioning and qualification protocols. Supports engineering tests. Prepares the CO's approval process. Supports the team Engineer in the certification and startup of new machinery or equipment.
Helps solve manufacturing problems by applying engineering concepts or technical concepts to maximize equipment effectiveness, capacity and quality. Evaluates and interprets new ideas to improve the process. Identifies faults and repairs equipment. Documents modifications and programming changes according to Good Manufacturing Practices.
Supports special engineering projects as required, for example, analysis of weather studies, balances in production lines, reduction of documentation, 5S, Kaizen, reduction of time cycle, design.
Supports the preventive maintenance and spare maintenance programs following Asset Management Tool.
Participates in and understands compliance related activities pertaining to the job assignment including compliance with the Quality System Regulation (QSR), Standard Operating Procedures (SOP), and applicable Work Instructions
Qualifications / Requirements:
Associate’s Degree in Engineering, Electronics, and/or Instrumentation is required.
Minimum of one (2) year of experience in the critical medical device industrial environment or pharmaceutical, working with control systems and manufacturing equipment is preferred.
Knowledge in computerized systems. Demonstrates strong computer skills, such as the use of Microsoft Office is preferred.
Basic knowledge of installation of programs and concepts of mechanics and electronics is required.
Verbal and written communication skills in English and Spanish is required.
Demonstrates working knowledge of SAP and Maximo, is preferred.
Demonstrates positive interpersonal skills and professional interactions with coworkers is required.
Demonstrates troubleshooting skills is required.
Availability to work overtime, various work schedules, which include all shifts including weekends and holidays as required.
