Waar kom je te werken?
Je werkt als onderdeel van het Internal Audit team dat de toereikendheid van de interne beheersing beoordeelt voor Aon‑bedrijfsonderdelen en/of belangrijke bedrijfsprocessen. Onder deze verantwoordelijkheid vallen onder meer:
Het aantonen van kennis en begrip van de toegewezen gebieden die worden beoordeeld, inclusief processen, risico’s en controls, en het accuraat en volledig kunnen documenteren van deze processen.
Het ondersteunen van Audit Project Managers bij het ontwikkelen van een auditbenadering en teststrategie voor toegewezen auditgebieden, zodat alle belangrijke bedrijfsrisico’s en controls worden beoordeeld.
Het uitvoeren van audit-testwerkzaamheden, inclusief het bijhouden van adequate testdocumentatie ter onderbouwing van de auditresultaten.
Het identificeren van potentiële auditbevindingen, het trekken van conclusies, het formuleren van aanbevelingen naar aanleiding van de review en het communiceren hiervan met de Audit Project Manager.
Het afstemmen van alle auditbevindingen om ervoor te zorgen dat het management gedurende en aan het eind van het onderzoek een volledig begrip heeft, door proces- en controletekorten te bespreken en corrigerende maatregelen en andere verbetervoorstellen te doen om de operatie te verbeteren en/of kosten te verlagen.
Het ondersteunen bij het opstellen van de formele auditbevindingen en aanbevelingen voor opname in het auditrapport.
Betrokkenheid bij ad‑hoc projecten, onderzoeken of andere benodigde activiteiten.

Wat neem je mee?
Minimaal drie jaar relevante werkervaring in de (internal) audit, en ervaring binnen één of meerdere van Aon’s solution lines/sectoren: Verzekeringen, Vermogensbeheer, Pensioenen, Health Solutions/Employee Benefits of vergelijkbare gebieden in de financiële dienstverlening.
In het bezit van, of studerend voor, relevante beroepskwalificaties zoals RA/RO/CIA/ACCA.
Gevorderde technische, analytische en probleemoplossende vaardigheden, inclusief het vermogen om detailgericht te werken en alle vereiste werkzaamheden tijdig en nauwkeurig uit te voeren.
Uitstekende mondelinge en schriftelijke uitdrukkingsvaardigheid. De voertaal op de afdeling is Engels. Een extra taal naast Engels (bij voorkeur Frans, Duits, Italiaans of Spaans) is een pré. Je beschikt over sterke interpersoonlijke vaardigheden en het vermogen om professionele relaties met het management op te bouwen en productieve werkrelaties met collega’s, zowel intern als extern, te onderhouden.
Kennis en begrip van interne auditstandaarden en ‑technieken, evenals algemene boekhoudkundige methoden, principes en praktijken.
Sterke organisatorische vaardigheden, tijdmanagement en het vermogen om meerdere taken tegelijk te beheren. Je kunt zelfstandig en met initiatief auditopdrachten afronden.
De bereidheid en het vermogen om je te verdiepen in Aon’s activiteiten, inclusief beleid en procedures, en deze kennis toe te passen in je opdrachten.
Bereidheid om, indien nodig, zakelijk te reizen, voornamelijk binnen de EMEA‑regio.

What the day will look likeWorking as part of a team to evaluate the adequacy of controls for Aon business units and/or key business processes. Included in this responsibility are:
Demonstrating knowledge and understanding of assigned areas under review, including processes, risks and controls, and is able to document the processes accurately and completely.
Assisting Audit Project Managers in the development of an audit approach and testing strategy for assigned audit areas to ensure all key business risks and controls are evaluated.
Completing audit test procedures, including maintaining appropriate testing documentation to support audit results.
Identifying potential audit findings, drawing conclusions, developing recommendations noted from the review and communicating to the Audit Project Manager.
Confirming all audit findings to ensure full understanding with management throughout and at the conclusion of the examination by discussing process and control deficiencies, recommending corrective actions and other suggestions for improvements in operations and/or reductions in costs.
Assisting in development of the formal audit finding and recommendation for inclusion in the audit report.
Involvement in ad-hoc projects, investigations or any other required activities.

Skills and experience that will lead to success
A minimum of three years of industry experience, and track record working in audit, across any of Aon's solution lines/ sectors - Insurance, Wealth Management, Pensions, Health Solutions/ Employee Benefits, or similar areas in the financial services industry.
In possession of, or currently studying for, relevant professional designations/certifications such as RA/RO/CIA/ACCA.
Advanced technical, analytical and problem-solving skills including the ability to focus on details and perform all required functions timely and with accuracy.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills and an additional language next to English (preferably French, German, Italian or Spanish) is a plus. Interpersonal skills and the ability to interface and build professional relationships with management and productive working relationships with peers both internally and externally.
Knowledge and understanding of internal auditing standards and techniques as well as general accounting methods, principles and practices.
Organizational, time management and multi-tasking skills. Ability to work independently and with initiative to complete audit assignments.
The ability to learn and develop a competency/understanding of Aon operations including policies and procedures, and apply them to assignments.
Willingness to undertake business travel when required, primarily in the EMEA region.
The possession of an EU Passport or Work permit.
