We are currently recruiting for an IT Governance, Risk, and Compliance Manager for our IT Risk & Governance Division in Amsterdam.

The MBE subsidiary based in The Netherlands is a network of branches (Germany Branch (Dusseldorf, Hamburg, Frankfurt, Munich), Spain Branch (Madrid, Barcelona), Belgium Branch (Brussels), Austria Branch (Vienna)), managed from Amsterdam.

Purpose of the function

IT Governance, Risk, and Compliance Manager act as the team member of the IT Risk, Security, and Control team within the MBE Systems Division. They provide oversight and serve as the senior contact for external and internal auditors and co-ordinates timely remediation and reporting across the organisation.

Function positioning

Within MBE, the Systems Division supports IT structures with regard to IT applications, infrastructure and hardware. IT Security team is one of the four units running under the Systems Division such as Applications, IT Services and IT Planning.

IT Governance, Risk, and Compliance Manager reports to the Head of IT Security, who reports to Head of MBE Systems, who reports to the Managing Director MBE, responsible for Operations & Systems Divisions or in his/her absence the Management Board.

The role includes the following:

  • Acts part of the IT GRC team

  • Supports the bank’s senior management in all questions regarding IT Governance, Risk and Compliance form 1st Line of Defense perspective

  • Acts as the senior contact for monitoring and reporting audit remediation tasks.

  • Oversees implementation and maintenance the IT Policy House up to date

  • Responsible for the oversight and closure of reporting requests from the HQ and EMEA to ensure that risks are mitigated without affecting business

  • Responsible for oversight, monitoring of remediation of IT risks and current residual IT risk position

  • Accountable for maintenance of the golden source for all regulatory and Compliance topics (IT Related) and playing a key role in development of processes/ best practices to report on time/accuracy / completeness

  • Lead the efforts to Identify and document IT Compliance deviations; tracking countermeasures to remediate deficiencies and gaps

  • Supporting the IT agenda by ensuring that the delivery of strategic goals is complemented by appropriate IT process and services of appropriate quality

Consultation and others

  • Closely work together with Audit functions, Operational Risk Management, other IT functions inclusive of MBE Branches, EMEA & HQ and with the PMO, Corporate Planning and other business functions.

  • The execution of the function will be according to the policies of the MUFG group in collaboration with EMEA Head Office in London and Head Office in Tokyo.

In order to be successful in the role, you will need the following:

Skills and experience:

  • A minimum of 6 years of work experience in IT Governance , Risk & compliance in a bank / financial services organization / Fintech

  • Proven experience within Information Governance , Risk and Compliance(in conjunction with COBIT, ITIL) with practical(hands on) experience in the management/compliance reporting

  • Experience or knowledge of strategic IT governance management, managing information security risks from third party suppliers and delivering IT governance within a highly regulated environment

  • Strong negotiating and influencing skills with the ability to influence senior decision makers

  • Present and articulate complex data and arguments for everyone to understand

  • Committed to driving excellence and quality in all aspects of your role, identifying and embracing leading practice

  • Team Leadership experience

  • Commuting allowance based on annual public transport 2nd class, most economical way, or € 0,23 per km with a max of 75km one way.

  • €5,00 net remote working compensation per day, with a maximum of €60,00 per month.
