Job Title: MIG Welder
Job Description
We are seeking a skilled MIG Welder to join our team for custom fabrication projects located in Amherst, NY. Our focus is on custom stainless steel fabrication for high-end clients within the pharmaceutical, food & beverage, and chemical industries. This position requires proficiency in welding, fabricating, and assembling various stainless steel components including tanks, process vessels, and structural assemblies. You will work independently or collaboratively in a fast-paced environment that demands precision and quality.
Responsibilities
Perform MIG welding on stainless steel components for sanitary and structural applications.
Read and interpret detailed welding blueprints and schematics.
Fabricate and assemble pressure vessels, vacuum chambers, and other custom stainless steel systems.
Maintain high standards of weld quality and cleanliness for food/pharma-grade applications.
Collaborate with team members and supervisors to meet project deadlines.
Operate fabrication tools and equipment including grinders, polishers, cutters, and machining tools.
Participate in on-site welding and installation as needed.
Essential Skills
3–5+ years of MIG welding experience on stainless steel and structural components.
Ability to pass a 3/8" stainless steel weld test (corner joint and butt joint).
Hands-on experience with food-grade stainless steel welds.
Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
Proficiency in TIG welding.
Sanitary TIG Welding.
BOCES experience.
Ability to lift 50 lbs.
Experience with grinding and polishing.

Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $24.00 - $30.00/hr.
