Job Title: Production Tech
Job Description
We are seeking a skilled Production Operations Technician to coordinate the assembly, testing, and shipping of products in a high-volume manufacturing environment. Experience in assembly or production is highly valued. Candidates with at least 6 months of prior manufacturing experience are preferred.
Responsibilities
Perform assembly of unit assemblies and complex subassemblies by following detailed work instructions.
Install and operate manual and automatic production equipment, ensuring machines are verified before use.
Carry out testing and quality inspections to ensure all products meet performance specifications.
Utilize power tools, such as pneumatic wrenches, drills, and torque guns, safely and effectively.
Collaborate with team members and supervisors regarding production status and opportunities for improvement.
Essential Skills
6+ months of experience in a production or assembly-based position.
Proficiency in using hand and power tools , including pneumatic equipment and torque guns.
Ability to read and understand detailed work process instructions and production documentation.
Basic mechanical aptitude to assemble, test, and repair various unit components.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
Capability to work in a fast-paced environment with oil-lubricated components.
Strong attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining high safety and quality standards.
Possession of steel-toed boots and a commitment to following a safety-focused dress code.

Work Environment
This role is located in a large manufacturing facility where employees rotate through various assembly cells. The environment is fast-paced and team-oriented, offering multiple scheduling options across 1st, 2nd, and 3rd shifts .
Job Type & Location
This is a Contract to Hire position based out of AMES, IA.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $18.00 - $20.70/hr.
