Summary
Iowa State Online, a unit with The Center for Excellence in Learning and Teaching (CELT), is accepting applicants for a Data Analyst I. Iowa State Online is a service unit to the entire institution for online program growth. This position will support the team’s data needs related to this work.
Example of Duties
Assist with establishing, maintaining and documenting systems and processes for data collection, validation, and analysis.
Provide analytical support for strategic online programs, including programmatic information and enrollment metrics.
Compile and analyze student support metrics (e.g., chatbot usage, website traffic, email communications, and phone inquiries) ensuring consistent use of conventions and definitions to inform data-driven decisions.
Gather and analyze marketing effort metrics, including market research for supporting program growth and recruitment goals.
Create data visualizations, including graphs, tables, dashboards, and other presentation visuals, using Iowa State templates and tools to support internal and stakeholder reporting.
Assist in preparing recurring and ad-hoc reports related to ServiceNow requests and Knowledge Base Articles (KBAs), including reviewing tag identifiers, supporting updates to the Iowa State Online dashboard, and maintaining KBA-related reporting systems.
Provide support for financial, admissions, student journey, and marketing reporting, ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and consistency across reports and dashboard for Iowa State Online.
