Job Title: Assembly Associate

Job Description

We are hiring a reliable and motivated Assembly Associate to join our production team. This position supports general assembly and production operations by assembling components, following work instructions, and contributing to overall efficiency and product quality. Prior manufacturing or assembly experience is helpful but not required—we provide hands-on training for individuals who are eager to learn and grow.

Responsibilities

  • Assemble parts, components, or products according to written or verbal instructions.

  • Use basic hand tools and power tools as needed to complete assembly tasks.

  • Inspect parts and finished products to ensure quality and accuracy.

  • Follow standard operating procedures to meet production goals and deadlines.

  • Work independently and as part of a small team to maintain workflow.

  • Keep work areas clean, organized, and compliant with safety guidelines.

Essential Skills

  • Ability to perform basic math for measurements, counts, and quantities.

  • Attention to detail and ability to follow instructions accurately.

  • Willingness to learn new tasks, tools, and processes.

  • Comfort working in a production or manufacturing environment.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

  • Ability to lift 10–25 lbs frequently and up to 50 lbs occasionally .

  • Capability to stand, bend, reach, and perform repetitive tasks throughout the shift.

  • Reliable attendance and dependable transportation.

  • Previous experience in assembly, manufacturing, warehouse, or production environments is a plus but not required.

Work Environment

This role operates in an indoor manufacturing or production facility with a collaborative team atmosphere. Employees work a set 10-hour shift (Monday–Friday) with optional overtime on Saturdays . The dress code includes steel-toe or composite-toe footwear, jeans, and a short-sleeve shirt . All additional required safety equipment is provided.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Ames, IA.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $22.50/hr.
