Job Title: Machine Operator
Pay: $25/hr
Shift: 1:30pm to 10pm, Monday - Friday
Job Description
As an Operator, you will play a crucial role in maintaining a safe and organized work environment by following plant safety rules and wearing required personal protective equipment (PPE). You will be responsible for preparing basic materials, assisting with changeovers, setting up machinery, and ensuring consistent production runs. Additionally, you will monitor equipment performance, perform routine maintenance tasks, conduct quality checks, and accurately record production data.
Responsibilities
Set up the machine with guidance and manage production runs.
Monitor equipment to ensure consistent output and make small adjustments as needed.
Report mechanical issues to the lead operator or maintenance team.
Follow all plant safety rules and wear required PPE.
Maintain a clean and organized work area.
Review job instructions and prepare basic materials.
Assist with simple changeovers, such as loading supplies or mixing inks.
Perform routine tasks such as cleaning screens, wiping down equipment, and basic lubrication.
Conduct simple quality checks and label finished products correctly.
Place any questionable material on hold for further inspection.
Record production counts, downtime, and materials used.
Help stage items for the next order or shift.
Essential Skills
Experience in machine operation or manufacturing is helpful but not required.
Ability to follow written instructions, safety procedures, and production paperwork.
Basic mechanical comfort — able to make small adjustments and use simple hand tools.
Good attention to detail for quality checks, labeling, and documentation.
Ability to stand for long periods and lift materials when needed.
Reliable attendance and willingness to work scheduled shifts and overtime.
Strong communication skills and ability to work well with the machine operator and production team.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
Experience in manufacturing and labeling.
Troubleshooting skills.
Quality assurance and quality control knowledge.
Familiarity with ink testing and printing machines.

Work Environment

Pay and Benefits
