Job Title: Machine Operator Job Description
As a Machine Operator, you will ensure the smooth operation of machinery by adhering to plant safety rules and maintaining a clean and organized workspace. You will review production schedules, prepare materials for changeovers, and mix inks when necessary. Your role will involve setting up machines accurately, running production, monitoring quality, and making necessary adjustments to meet production targets.
Responsibilities
Follow all plant safety rules and use required personal protective equipment (PPE).
Review production schedules and job documentation.
Prepare materials and tooling for changeovers.
Mix inks as needed.
Set up machines accurately and run production.
Monitor quality and make adjustments to maintain output, speed, and scrap targets.
Troubleshoot minor mechanical issues such as screen or embossing die adjustments.
Perform daily cleaning, lubrication, and basic maintenance of machines.
Conduct quality checks and complete all necessary documentation.
Correctly label products and place non-conforming material on hold with proper tagging.
Track production, downtime, and maintenance needs.
Prepare materials for the next order or shift and understand key performance indicators.
Essential Skills
At least 1 year of experience operating machines in a manufacturing or production environment.
At least 1 year of experience in quality control or assurance within production and/or manufacturing.
At least 1 year of experience troubleshooting manufacturing machinery/equipment, including ink testing and printing machines.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
Previous machine operation or manufacturing experience preferred.
Ability to read and follow production documentation, work instructions, and safety procedures.
Basic mechanical aptitude with comfort in making small adjustments and using hand tools.
Strong attention to detail for quality checks, labeling, and documentation.
Ability to stand for long periods and lift materials as required.
Reliable attendance and ability to work assigned schedule and overtime when needed.
Strong communication skills and ability to work effectively as part of a production team.

Work Environment
The role requires working a graveyard shift from 9pm to 5am, Monday to Friday. The environment is a manufacturing setting where safety and teamwork are prioritized. Employees must be comfortable standing for long periods and using hand tools.

Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $26.00 - $26.00/hr.
