Job Description Summary:
The Professional Services Project Manager is responsible for leading the day to day successful delivery of Rocket Professional Services customer engagements together with Rocket and customer teams and plays a key role in providing Rocket’s Category of One customer experience. In this role, the Project Manager ensures that projects are delivered according to agreed timelines, scope, and budget, while meeting both customer and Rocket objectives.
Projects vary in size and complexity, ranging from small 2–3 week engagements to several month programs involving multiple teams and stakeholders. They include the implementation of solutions using one or more Rocket products and vary from technology refresh or upgrade projects to broader business system initiatives. The Project Manager works closely with Rocket consultants, customer teams, and, where applicable, partners, contributing to the successful delivery of each engagement.
The Project Manager is expected to know and follow the Rocket delivery methodology and apply project delivery and management best practices in customer engagements. The role requires the ability to effectively interact with a wide variety of people, including consultants, technical specialists, application end users, sales teams, and senior stakeholders across Rocket, partner, and customer teams.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities :
Accountable as thecentral pointof contact throughout the project lifecycle for the delivery of projects to Rocket customers, ensuring clarity of project scope,objectives, and success criteria
Manage projects involving multiple internal groups and external partners, coordinating activities across different organizational functions
Facilitate development of the project strategy and translate it into a clear project plan and schedule,identifyingkey milestones, dependencies, and prerequisites
Identifyand secure required resources to support successful project delivery
Manage project budget andmonitormargins
Develop and apply policies and procedures that support the achievement of project objectives
Communicate clearly with customer and Rocket teams at all levels, ensuring shared understanding of milestones, action items, risks, and resource requirements
Facilitate conflict resolution and motivate team members to deliver agreed outcomes
Keep projects on track by:
Measuring progress toward project objectives
Evaluating causes of deviations from the plan
Determiningand takingappropriate correctiveactions
Responsible for managing a portfolio of projects across product types
Required Qualifications:
Up to 5 years + related project management experience, including experience within professional services organizations delivering customer-facing engagements
Experience leading projects with external customers
Excellent communication skills and highly organized
Proventrack recordof full lifecycle project management for delivery of professional services or customer engagement-based technology solutions
Mastery of working in a team environment
Ability to manage timelines and multi-task effectively
Excellent problem-solving skills
Preferred Qualifications:
PMP or CAPM Certified
3+ years of experience with software vendor or systems integrator in a project management role
Exposure to Agile, Scrum, or hybrid delivery environments
