SMITHMYER Plumbing & Heating LLC HVAC Tech/Plumbing Apprentice in Altoona, Pennsylvania
Position Overview
We are seeking a reliable and motivated individual to join our team as a Plumbing & HVAC Technician. This is a unique opportunity to work in a hybrid role where you will gain hands-on experience in both plumbing and heating systems. Candidates with experience in either area are encouraged to apply, and training will be provided to develop skills in both trades.
Schedule & Compensation
- Schedule: Monday -- Friday, 8:00 AM -- 4:30 PM
- Hours: Full-time (40 hours/week)
- Lunch: 30-minute unpaid lunch
- No weekends required
- Paid holidays included
- Pay: $15.00 -- $18.00 per hour (based on experience)
Key Responsibilities
- Perform repair, maintenance, and installation of residential HVAC systems and equipment
- Clean, adjust, and repair residential HVAC systems, including warranty-related work
- Assist with troubleshooting and servicing heating and cooling systems
- Support residential plumbing repair, maintenance, and installation of plumbing fixtures
- Work alongside experienced technicians to learn both HVAC and plumbing trades
- Maintain tools, equipment, and a clean and safe work environment
- Follow all safety procedures and company standards
