As a Dental Assistant I, you\'ll be a key player in a vibrant teaching clinic, working closely with students, residents, and faculty to create a smooth, safe, and welcoming experience for every student and patient.\ \ What You\'ll Do\ \ Dispensing & Inventory Management\
- Maintain an adequate inventory of supplies, instruments, and equipment in the Dispensing area.
- Prepare procedure tray set-ups for each clinical session.
- Assemble, check out, and check in individual treatment trays for every patient.
\ Sterilization & Infection Control\
- Clean and sterilize all instruments, supplies, and equipment required for patient treatment.
- Operate autoclaves and perform routine spore testing, maintaining performance records for technical services.
- Properly destroy and dispose of needles and anesthetic carpules in accordance with safety protocols.
\ Operatory & Equipment Oversight\
- Inspect operatories daily for unreturned instruments, materials, and equipment.
- Stock operatories with necessary disposable supplies.
- Maintain a clean linen inventory to support smooth clinic flow.
\ Student & Clinical Support\
- Assist students in selecting the proper materials and equipment needed for each clinical session.
- Maintain records of equipment loaned to faculty and students.
- Annually assist in preparation for mock and regional board examinations.

\ \ Minimum Acceptable Qualifications\ \
- High school diploma or equivalent.
\ Preferred Qualifications
- Knowledge of dental terminology, instruments and treatment procedures.
- Requires knowledge of inventory control and sterilization.
- Must have good verbal communication skills.
