Job Description:
Unit Highlights:
36 bed surgical unit focused on providing care for a highly complex and acute population of specialty surgical service lines.
A DNV nationally recognized Center of Excellence in Elective Hip, Knee, and Shoulder surgery in partnership with Rothman Orthopaedics Institute.
A Blue Cross Designated “Blue Distinction Center” in spine, knee/hip surgery.
Elite Head and Neck Cancer surgical care performing some of the most complex cases in the state of Florida.
Working to grow thoracic surgery and vascular surgery service lines at the Altamonte campus.
Led by a dedicated team of Assistant Nurse Managers, Clinical Coordinators, on-unit Nursing Practice Development- Practitioner, and Nurse manager focused on excellent quality and surgical outcomes while providing compassionate care and teamwork.

Schedule: Full-time, Three (3) 12-hour shifts
Shift: Nights, 7:00 pm – 7:00 am (with weekend rotation)
Primary Job Responsibilities:
Conduct comprehensive assessments to evaluate the physiological, psychological, developmental, sociocultural, spiritual, and lifestyle factors of patients.
Develop and implement individualized care plans based on patient needs and standards of care, regularly evaluating and revising these plans as necessary.
Administer medications and treatments accurately and safely, following physician orders and hospital protocols, and monitor for adverse reactions.
Educate patients and families about health conditions, treatments, medications, and self-care strategies to promote understanding and compliance.
Collaborate with medical staff and ancillary departments to coordinate and optimize patient care, ensuring effective communication and teamwork.
What You'll Need to Succeed:
Associate of Science degree in Nursing
Current State of Florida or Multistate licensure as a Registered Nurse
Minimum of six (6) months of experience as a Registered Nurse
Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
Current Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification

$31.53 - $52.24
