Job Description
We are seeking a dedicated Machine Operator to work on our bag making lines. The role involves loading machinery with spools of paper, prepping rolls, gathering and setting up print plates, measuring hot melt, and gathering materials. You will be responsible for setting up the machine based on orders, running the machine, unclogging jams, performing minor troubleshooting, adjusting machinery, setting up and changing over machines, checking for defects and errors, packaging orders, wrapping final orders, and verifying orders and pallets.
Responsibilities
Load machinery with spools of paper.
Prep rolls and gather print plates.
Set up print plates and measure hot melt.
Gather materials and set up machines based on orders.
Verify orders and run the machine.
Unclog jams and perform minor troubleshooting.
Adjust machinery and perform setup and changeover.
Check for defects and errors in production.
Package and wrap final orders.
Verify orders and pallets.
Essential Skills
Manufacturing experience.
Machine operating/assistant experience.
Experience with setups or changeovers.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
Experience with packaging, corrugated, bag, paper, or carton materials.
Experience working on or around FFG or die cutting lines.

Work Environment
The facility is well-maintained, clean, and organized with multiple production lines. It remains cooler in winter and warmer in summer. The work involves producing paper bags and their handles. Standing is required constantly for 12 hours, with occasional sitting, walking, pushing, pulling, twisting, climbing, balancing, stooping, kneeling, crawling, reaching, grasping, and repetitive motions.

Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $19.21 - $22.50/hr.
