Job Title: Senior Controls EngineerJob Description
Design, develop, debug, and maintain controls hardware and software for production machines in accordance with project and customer specifications. Engage in diverse projects spanning from concept development to finalization, leveraging engineering principles to address technical hurdles and enhance product/equipment functionality.
Responsibilities
Design and develop controls hardware and software for production machines.
Debug and maintain systems to meet project and customer specifications.
Collaborate with clients to adhere to project limitations and meet deadlines.
Lead and support team efforts in tackling complex challenges.
Travel nationally and internationally up to 15% to support project needs.
Essential Skills
Practical knowledge of electrical design, including reading and interpreting schematics and electrical designs (NFPA and ISO).
Proficiency in PC-based Microsoft business software.
Ability to perform effectively in high-pressure environments.
Strong written and oral communication skills.
Experience programming PLCs (Siemens, Rockwell, Allen-Bradley, etc.).
10-15+ years of experience in the field.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
Robotics experience is a plus.
Vision experience is beneficial.
Experience with Beckhoff PLCs is preferred.
Bachelor’s or master’s degree in electrical engineering/electro-mechanics or a similar field.
Experience with HMIs and machine vision applications is advantageous.
Work Environment
The work environment includes a mix of office and factory settings, with a flexible 40-hour workweek where employees can arrive between 7am-10am. Projects are deliverable and deadline-oriented. Travel is required about 15% of the time, with corporate card coverage for lodging, travel, and food expenses. Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $120000.00 - $175000.00/yr.
