What you'll be doing:
Responsible for dusting, mopping, sweeping, and damp mopping tile floors
Dust and clean walls, doors, windows and other surfaces above floor
Dust, clean and polish store fixtures
Perform manual tasks requiring moderate physical strength which may include the use of buffers, floor scrubbers, and other cleaning equipment deemed necessary to perform the daily duties of the position
Maintain and keep building exterior clean from debris
Empty trash from offices and other assigned areas and place in designated areas for disposal
Ensure the cleanliness of all restrooms and replenishes supplies as needed
Notify supervisor of equipment and facilities needing repair or replacement
Comply with Goodwill of North Georgia’s International Organization for Standardization (ISO) process and the agency’s safety and security policies and procedures
Perform other related janitorial work as required and/or instructed
Requirements & Qualifications:
High School Diploma, GED or equivalent education preferred
One (1) year of housekeeping, janitorial, or custodian experience preferred
Knowledge of cleaning methods, materials, and equipment preferred
Ability to maintain a positive demeanor while engaged in repetitive tasks
Ability to follow oral and written instructions
Ability to establish and maintain working relationships with supervisor and staff
Working Environment Conditions/ Requirements:
Must be able to meet all physical requirements to perform the duties of the position including the ability to bend, reach, grasp, stand and/or walk for extended periods of time as well as the ability to push, pull and lift up to 30lbs with or without accommodation
Must be able to work in all types of conditions including heat, cold and dust
