Robert Half Collections Specialist in Alpharetta, Georgia
Description We are looking for a detail-oriented Collections Specialist to join our team in Alpharetta, Georgia. This long-term contract position offers an opportunity to manage accounts receivable and ensure customer payments are collected promptly and accurately. The ideal candidate will bring exceptional communication skills and proficiency in tools like NetSuite and Microsoft Excel to support efficient collection processes. Collaboration with internal teams and external clients will be key to success in this role.
Responsibilities:
• Oversee and manage accounts receivable to ensure payments are collected within the required timeframes.
• Investigate and resolve billing issues, payment discrepancies, and disputes effectively.
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation of collection activities using NetSuite and other systems.
• Generate and analyze aging reports and collection metrics, utilizing advanced Excel functions.
• Work closely with Sales, Customer Service, and Finance teams to address and resolve customer concerns.
• Identify accounts that require escalation or recommend write-offs when appropriate.
• Ensure adherence to company policies and compliance with relevant regulations.
• Implement effective collection strategies to minimize outstanding balances.
• Communicate regularly with customers to facilitate timely payment resolutions.
• Provide insights and recommendations to improve collection processes and efficiency. Requirements • Minimum of 2 years of experience in collections, with expertise in commercial and consumer accounts.
• Strong knowledge of credit and collections processes, including billing collection procedures.
• Proficiency in NetSuite for account management and record-keeping.
• Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel for reporting and data analysis.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for collaboration and client interactions.
• Ability to resolve payment disputes and discrepancies with a high level of accuracy.
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills to manage multiple accounts effectively.
• Knowledge of regulatory compliance related to collections and accounts receivable.
