Mars Category Development Leader in Almaty, Kazakhstan
Job Description:
What are we looking for?
1. Education & Professional Qualification
Degree in Economics/ Marketing/ Finance;
Russian/English at advanced level;
2. Knowledge/Experience
2+ years relevant experience in sales, key accounts, trade/customer marketing in FMCG or at Key Retailer
Category Management experience preferred but not essential
Analytical skills and demonstrated ability to create a narrative from analysis/insights
What will be your key responsibilities?
Leads Category Captaincy Roadmap creation & implementation for key customers in Kazakhstan (Magnum/MCC & Small):
Ensures ‘The Category First’ and Category growth are at the heart of all interactions with Customers
Builds key strategic relationships and a feeling of “one team”
Delivers a step change in customer engagement, works in strong collaboration with One Demand team
Establishes and embeds Category Strategy relationships with key customers ensures customer requirements built into business planning process via the Customer strategy & category projects on Transaction Zone & Main Aisle
Develops customized POGs by categories
Delivers Snacking Category Vision Deployment:
Be an Ambassador of SCV deployment in CEA with focus on Kazakhsatan by engaging One Demand team;
Find opportunities for qualitative conversion growth projects with customers;
Localize Picture of Success for Modern Trade in Kazakhstan according to the plan.
Delivers Category Insights
Initiates customers’ range review process and recommends range decisions to fuel category growth
Seeks for market/customer/shopper insights, initiates and runs the relevant shopper researches when required
Team Engagement / Culture
Supports and develops category management capabilities within SDL/CBU/CDL/Customers teams
Demonstrates positive challenge and “can do” behaviors leading to high team engagement
Skills: Expert user of MS Office; Continuous data experience (i.e. Nielsen, GFK, Spaceman)
Competencies: Drive for Result, Plans & Aligns, Communicates effectively, Negotiate, Business acumen
