Legacy Cooperative Location Manager in Alliance, Nebraska

SUMMARY We are currently looking for a Location Manager for our Alliance and Hemingford, Nebraska AGRONOMY departments at Legacy Coop. The Location Manager is responsible for overseeing all operational activities, including the management of staff, resources, and inventory to ensure efficient operations. The manager will play a key role in maintaining high levels of customer satisfaction, ensuring safety compliance, and meeting financial objectives. This position is full-time and comes with Legacy Coop's full-time benefits package including retirement, 401K, holiday, vacation and sick time, as well as competitive pay. While some travel is required, this position is on-site/in person so the ideal candidate lives in or around Alliance or Hemingford, Nebraska. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES (Include but not limited to:)

  • Acts as key liaison between the locations and upper management
  • Ensures the locations are properly staffed by setting the hours of operation and ensuring daily schedules are worked to meet the location's customers' needs
  • Meets annual budget and profit goals by tracking and approving expenses, asset procurement, and budgeting
  • Sells and assists growers in meeting their individual goals
  • Ensures proper inventory levels are on hand and that the inventory is accurate and being turned in on a timely basis
  • Oversees accounts receivables and ensures the company credit policy is being followed by direct reports and customers
  • Directly supervises the employees at each location. This includes interviewing, hiring, and employee development; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding, coaching, and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.
  • Other duties may be assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE

Bachelor Degree in Ag Business or equivalent from a 4 year college or university; or 5 years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

LANGUAGE SKILLS

Must be able to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals; to write routine reports and correspondence; and have the ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization

MATHEMATICAL AND ACCOUNTING SKILLS

Must be able to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume. Must have some background with general accounting principles and accounting practices

REASONING ABILITY

Must have ability to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Must be able to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in a standardized situation.

CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS

Commercial Driver License-Class A with a tanker endorsement
