Job Description Summary

The Senior Process Engineer will provide manufacturing and process engineering support to drive quality, efficiency, and operational performance. In this role, you will apply technical expertise to solve complex process challenges, improve manufacturing methods, and support development activities within your area of responsibility. You will serve as a technical resource for best practices and continuous improvement while contributing to functional priorities, project execution, and process strategy.

This position requires strong engineering judgment, a practical approach to problem solving, and the ability to influence cross-functional teams in a dynamic manufacturing environment.

Job Description

Roles and Responsibilities

  • Provide process engineering support for manufacturing operations, with a focus on process execution, performance improvement, and technical problem solving.

  • Apply specialized knowledge in process and development engineering to improve product quality, process capability, and operational efficiency.

  • Serve as a technical resource for manufacturing best practices, quality standards, and continuous improvement initiatives.

  • Analyze technical and operational data to identify issues, determine root causes, and develop practical recommendations.

  • Use sound engineering judgment to solve moderately complex problems in manufacturing, process technology, product management, and engineering operations.

  • Support implementation of process improvements and new approaches to existing manufacturing challenges.

  • Contribute to strategy and policy development within the functional area and help ensure execution against established priorities.

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive process improvements, resolve technical issues, and support business objectives.

  • Lead small to medium-sized projects with moderate risk and resource requirements.

  • Provide technical guidance and mentorship to less experienced team members.

  • Communicate complex technical information clearly and effectively to build alignment and support decision-making across functions.

  • Maintain awareness of industry trends, technical advancements, and competitive practices relevant to the discipline.

Required Qualifications

  • Master’s degree from an accredited university or college in Chemical Engineering or Chemistry with a minimum of 8 years of experience in process and development engineering, or

  • Ph.D. in Chemical Engineering or Chemistry with a minimum of 6 years of experience in process and development engineering.

Eligibility Requirements

  • This role requires access to technical data subject to U.S. Government export control regulations. Therefore, this position is open only to U.S. Persons , as defined by U.S. law, including U.S. citizens, lawful permanent residents, and protected individuals such as certain refugees and asylees.

  • Proof of status will be required prior to employment.

Desired Characteristics

  • Background in electrochemistry with demonstrated ability to apply technical knowledge in a practical manufacturing environment

  • Proven ability to lead projects and influence cross-functional teams without direct authority

  • Strong problem-solving skills, including root cause analysis and implementation of effective corrective actions

  • Strong interpersonal, collaboration, and leadership skills

  • Excellent oral and written communication skills

This role requires access to U.S. export-controlled information. If applicable, final offers will be contingent on ability to obtain authorization for access to U.S. export-controlled information from the U.S. Government.

Relocation Assistance Provided: Yes

For candidates applying to a U.S. based position, the pay range for this position is between $104,600.00 and $174,400.00. The Company pays a geographic differential of 110%, 120% or 130% of salary in certain areas. The specific pay offered may be influenced by a variety of factors, including the candidate’s experience, education, and skill set.

Bonus eligibility: discretionary annual bonus.
