Actalent QC Associate I 1st Shift in Allendale, New Jersey

Job Description

Join a dynamic team responsible for performing vital testing and analysis in the field of cell therapy. As an Associate, you will engage in various tasks such as flow cytometry and endotoxin testing, cell culture, and the analysis of cell populations. Responsibilities

  • Perform testing to help develop methods for flow cytometry and other complex analysis.

  • Conduct cell culture and cell counting to analyze for quality control.

  • Assist in the analysis and improvement of flow methods and laboratory workflow.

  • Train and oversee new team members.

  • Execute test methods and procedures for cellular products to ensure safety and efficacy.

  • Maintain and troubleshoot laboratory equipment, including routine start-ups and shutdowns.

  • Document and report test results following CGMP and GTP guidelines.

  • Organize laboratory supplies and maintain cleanliness of equipment.

  • Participate in equipment and method qualification/validation activities.

  • Cross-train in methods for multiple clients to enhance laboratory efficiency.

  • Upload data in real-time to shared drives or client SharePoint sites.

  • Prepare reagents and media.

  • Respond to equipment alarms and troubleshoot malfunctions.

  • Investigate non-conforming test results and prepare deviation reports.

  • Implement corrective and preventive actions as necessary.

  • Document training and manage shipping of test samples to contract laboratories.

  • Communicate effectively with coworkers, management, and clients.

  • Assist in training other Quality Control technicians.

Essential Skills

  • 1-2 years of experience in flow cytometry assays and endotoxin testing.

  • Proficiency in cell culture and quality control methodologies.

  • Experience in clinical and commercial production support.

  • Familiarity with process checkpoint, stability, and release analytical testing.

  • Knowledge of microbiology, tissue culture, and quantitative analysis.

  • Experience in CGMP and quality control environments.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in a related scientific field.

  • Experience with microbiology testing and equipment.

  • Ability to train and lead others in the laboratory.

  • Experience in managing materials and supplies.

  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and Visio software.

  • Experience in blood banking, immunology, or cell therapeutic environments is preferred.

Work Environment

This position operates in an aseptic quality environment.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Allendale, NJ.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $30.00 - $31.00/hr.
