Job Title: LabVIEW Developer
Looking to hire 2 Developers (onsite (can be open to remote pending experience))
One position is 6-8+ month contract - could be extended
Job Description
We are seeking a skilled LabVIEW Developer with over five years of experience to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in Telecom, specifically with Laser and Photodiodes, and experience in production test software for Transceivers. This role involves working with legacy code, rewriting it under best practices, and supporting two products and up to four different pieces of software using LabVIEW 2023.
Responsibilities
Develop and maintain LabVIEW software solutions, ensuring best practices and thorough documentation.
Rewrite legacy code to improve functionality and reduce system crashes.
Support two products and manage up to four different pieces of software.
Utilize JIRA for tracking and managing tasks and backlog items.
Perform source code control and implement software development lifecycle processes.
Create and maintain documentation in source code and code comments.
Put together test stations and verify the code on machines.
Essential Skills
At least 5 years of LabVIEW development experience.
1 year of experience in the Telecom industry with knowledge of Telecom codes for Laser and Photodiodes.
Familiarity with LabVIEW implementation of Object-Oriented Class structures and traditional Architectures like QMH structures.
Proficiency in GitLab for source code control and experience with the GitFlow process.
Demonstrated ability to integrate LabVIEW with databases, Python, and other applications.
Knowledge of instrumentation and LabVIEW’s communication capabilities (serial, USB, TCP).
Experience with Atlassian JIRA ticket process.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering is preferred.
Experience as a Test Engineer in the Telecommunications Industry.
Familiarity with Fiber Optic Transmission principles applied to transceivers.
Understanding of the LabVIEW developer environment.
Experience with source code control using GitLab and SourceTree.
Work Environment
Join a team of 12 engineers in a state-of-the-art facility. The environment is collaborative, emphasizing integrity and teamwork. The position is based onsite, with opportunities to interact with teams at other locations. They are open for one of these roles being remote Dress code is professional, and the role requires honesty in reporting hours worked and detailing tasks accomplished.

This is a Contract position based out of Allen, TX.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $55.00 - $90.00/hr.
