Job Title: LabVIEW Developer
Job Description
We are seeking a highly skilled LabVIEW Developer with over five years of experience to join our team. The ideal candidate will have strong experience in developing production test software for transceivers, with at least one year of experience in the telecom industry. This role involves working with telecom codes specific to lasers and photodiodes, rewriting legacy code under best practices, and developing software for transceivers. Candidates should be familiar with the software development lifecycle, source code control, and documentation.
Responsibilities
Develop production test software for transceivers.
Rewrite and improve legacy code using best practices.
Utilize LabVIEW 2023 for software development.
Support two products and manage up to four different pieces of software.
Document source code and code comments thoroughly.
Use JIRA for tracking and backlog management.
Work with 10 LabVIEW software iterations for each product.
Create and maintain test stations, developing and testing code on machines.
Essential Skills
Over 5 years of experience as a LabVIEW developer.
At least 1 year of experience within the telecom industry.
Familiarity with LabVIEW implementation of Object-Oriented Class structures.
Understanding of traditional LabVIEW Architectures such as QMH structures.
Experience in interfacing LabVIEW code with other applications like databases and Python.
Proficiency in communicating with instruments using LabVIEW (serial, USB, TCP, etc.).
Knowledge of source code control with GitLab and SourceTree using the GitFlow process.
Experience with the Atlassian JIRA ticket process.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering is preferred.
Experience as a Test Engineer in the Telecommunications Industry.
Familiarity with Fiber Optic Transmission principles as applied to transceivers.
Ability to work from the office as required.
Familiarity with the Workers for LabVIEW developer environment.
Work Environment
The work environment is within a manufacturing company specializing in electronics, optical solutions, fiber optics, and network connectivity. You will be part of a team of 12 engineers working in a brand-new facility. The role requires integrity and the ability to blend in with the team, detailing tasks accomplished and hours worked honestly. Job Type & Location
This is a Contract position based out of Allen, TX.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $55.00 - $90.00/hr.
