The North America Vehicle Logistics (NAVL) Business Solutions Supervisor is a strategically critical leadership role within Ford Motor Company's Material Planning & Logistics organization. This position is responsible for supervising and guiding the business solutions function that supports the end-to-end transformation of Ford's North American outbound vehicle logistics network — spanning the United States, Mexico, and Canada.
This position directly supports Ford's Customer Excellence mission by enabling agile, varying service levels that reflect the consumerization of B2B logistics — a world where customers, dealers, and carriers expect the kind of real-time, Uber-style tracking and proactive communication that has become the standard across industries. The NAVL Business Solutions Supervisor is responsible for ensuring Ford not only meets that expectation but leads the industry in setting it.

What you will do …
- Transformational Leadership
Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing team of logistics and business solutions professionals, fostering a culture of innovation, accountability, and continuous improvement
Champion organizational change management initiatives associated with the TMS rollout and modernization of the North American Vehicle Logistics network
Drive a collaborative, transparent, and inclusive team environment aligned with Ford's Customer Excellence mission
Translate complex logistics challenges into clear, achievable strategic objectives for team members at all levels
Serve as a visible change agent, inspiring adoption of new technologies, tools, and ways of working across internal and external stakeholder groups
- AI & Technology-Driven Solutions
Oversee the development and continuous improvement of AI/ML-powered ETA prediction models trained on feature categories including route dwell patterns, localized inventory counts, carrier performance, and predicted transit congestion
Support the application of advanced ML algorithms (XGBoost, CatBoost) to capture localized patterns and relationships for dwell and transit optimization
Partner with data science and IT teams to drive AI-driven feature engineering that delivers actionable operational insights and improves ETA accuracy across the vehicle delivery network
Lead the integration and optimization of real-time vehicle tracking tools and visibility platforms (e.g., Overhaul) to monitor transit and drive operational decisions
Oversee the modernization of Advanced Shipping Notice (ASN) processes from legacy single-ASN standards to segmented, carrier-specific X12 industry standards to reduce mis-ships and improve customer satisfaction
Champion the rollout and adoption of innovative technologies such as the DeGould Vehicle Check-In App and digital Bill of Lading / Proof of Delivery solutions — positioning Ford as an industry-first leader in logistics transparency
3. Stakeholder Collaboration & Dealer/Carrier Engagement
Build and maintain strong working relationships with carriers, dealers, upfit partners, and internal Ford stakeholders to drive shared transparency, trust, and operational efficiency
Facilitate collaborative (vs. directive) carrier engagement by providing direct access to Ford logistics insights and performance data
Support automated communications strategies that deliver real-time vehicle status updates to Ford retail customers and dealership personnel, enhancing the ‘consumerized’ B2B experience
4. Performance Management & Business Analytics
Define, track, and report on key logistics performance metrics including dwell time, ETA accuracy, mis-ship rates, carrier performance, and cost savings
Develop and present executive-level reporting and dashboards utilizing Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Power BI) to communicate business solutions performance to senior leadership
Identify and execute opportunities to reduce operational costs, with TMS modernization projected to deliver $26 million in savings over four years
Apply data analysis to proactively identify exceptions, optimize routing decisions, and prevent costly out-of-plan routings and spot buys
You’ll have …
Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration, Information Systems, Engineering, related field (required) or equivalent combination of relevant education and experience
5+ years of progressive experience in logistics, supply chain, transportation management, or business solutions
Demonstrated experience in a leadership or supervisory capacity with proven ability to manage and develop teams
Proficiency in the Microsoft Office Suite (required) , including advanced Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Outlook, and Teams; experience with Power BI strongly preferred
Proven ability to lead cross-functional initiatives in complex, matrixed organizational environments
Demonstrated experience applying or overseeing AI/ML solutions in an operational or logistics context

This position is leadership level 6 and ranges from $112,680-212,760.
