TEC Group Inc Automotive Body & Paint Shop Supervisor in Allen Park, Michigan

Job Summary: The Automotive Body & Paint Shop Supervisor will manage the day-to-day activities of shop team members to ensure quality standards, project budgets for hours, materials, timing, policies and procedures are met. The Automotive Body & Paint Shop Supervisor will interact and communicate with leads, shop team members, customers, and management.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities: • Interact with and communicate with customers to resolve issues and ensure program timing, budget, and quality standards are met. • Supervise team members including setting goals, providing guidance, and training. • Manage employee conflict, safety incidents, and emergency situations. • Work with internal departments to utilize available resources. • Ensure shop equipment is maintained properly. • Manage shop organization and clean-up ensuring safety standards and procedures are followed.

Education and Experience (required): • High school diploma or equivalent. • Minimum of 7 years of experience in automotive body and paint to include 2 years of experience leading others formally or informally. • Good knowledge of Microsoft Office and good computer skills. • Excellent knowledge of automotive body and paint and ability to operate shop equipment. • Excellent attention to detail, organizational skills, and time management skills. • Able to supervise, mentor, and train team members. • Ability to read, comprehend and execute written procedures.

Education and Experience (preferred): • Certificate in Automotive Body Repair or related. • Valid driver's license. • Advanced computer skills. • Ability to work overtime as needed including weekends.
